my mailbox


this just in from jeri hobart. thank you. it is a good example of how placing things in a nice straight line is visually very nice. of course it helps to master the pointed pen, too.

    are we going to lure you over to the pointy side. just so you know jeri...jackie once sent me an envelope done in copperplate, just to show me that she actually owned a pointy nib and it was better than my copperplate. so she IS a sassypants (see the sassypants envelope if you do not recall that comment)

  3. Yes, it's true. I am a closeted pointy pen person. And you know, I am pretty curious about those IAMPETH conferences - much more sensible way to run a calligraphic event. The very first "real" workshop I ever took was with Mike Kecseg. It was a good and proper corrupting.
